• Narrative

1. A complete submission of all 10 files is required
2. No duplicate data on similar "D" file submissions
3. The "D" Files can be reported independently but must be accompanied by a P2 indicating the client data contained therein
4. Multiple Narratives are invited for submission
5. The submission must be in CMS Specified format through the RxDC application
6. Only the Reporting Entity can see the data submitted and CMS has no way to confirm a Plan Sponsor Submission occurred

CMS will use this data to understand the major cost drivers of healthcare in the United States.  in December 2023, CMS will publish their findings of prescription drug pricing trends and the impact of rebates on patient costs.  There is an opportunity for Plan Sponsors to have a look under the hood of their existing contracts if they embrace these requirements.  Contracting with an independent reporting entity, such as Rx Data Collection, enables the client to comply the RxDC Requirements and gain perspective on their own Plan Cost Drivers.
